And despite it being a rock/techno release, there isn't a hint of the 'loudness war' on this disc. Kudos.*************************The Music and VideoThis is more of an ep than a full release. This is also a dualdisc which means they put a dvd on the opposite side of the cd. This makes the disc thicker, and they have make the pits on the cd side to take into account that the cd lasers will not be able to focus properly. It's kind of a trick they had to use because the cd portion is not redbook standard. This means that it will not play in every cd player, so be warned.Most of the video is preview footage of dvds that were released following this disc's release. I didn't care for the footage that much, but I don't watch too many music dvds anyway. It's not my thing.The music is mostly synth/sequencer/drum machine based, so if you don't like Hawkwind's techno side you should pass on this disc. But if you do, you will really enjoy these songs. They are very innovative, and very catchy; absolutely great electronica.Two of the tracks (2 and 4) are from the "Calvert/Brock" project that was released a couple of years ago.
