The ELL Teacher′s Toolbox: Hundreds of Practical Ideas to Support Your Students

This is the best ELL reference book I've found on amazon. The book takes a holistic view of different methodologies, reinforces each example with recent academic sources, and provides sample handouts in each section. I have found it very useful! Would recommend.

This is a great book for teaching ELL. The ideas are practical, engaging, and relevant for students needs to be one language proficient. I use this resource consistently to plan lessons and activities. There are a lot of extras with each chapter that enhance the book and proved more lesson ideas. The book has well thought out designed chapters to meet a myriad of needs and us very easy to read and use. I may wear mine out soon from use.

I put this book on the part of my bookshelf where I have easy access. The title is so appropriate! It IS a toolbox for ELs and every teacher should have one. Indeed there are hundreds of practical ideas. Ferlazzo and Sypnieski have been working with ELLs for years and make it so simple for teachers to understand.
