they are not made to be in water the paint and material may or may not be safe I would recommend placing it outside the tank

Its probably resin, not porcelain for sure. I wouldn't recommend putting it in an aquarium. The water makes paint peel and bubble even on the ones from pet stores meant to be in a tank.

I'm making a snow globe is it water proof?

I’m not too sure that it’s water proof I use mine as a shelf item. It looks like acrylic paint, but not sure if it’s sealed from water. I’m sorry I couldn’t help much... hope someone else can.

This is super cute! I am using it for a cake topper on a miniature cake for my daughters birthday. That way is can be a keepsake too.I was expecting it to be bigger, however I am not disappointed. I am actually glad it is smaller because it would have looked huge on my little cake.It’s roughly the size of half my palm.
