We used it on our counters for our German Shepherd, and it worked great. Unfortunately he could tell when they were up and stayed away. When I was cooking and moved them, he thought he was my sous chef and was right up there with me. It also didn't work to keep him out of rooms, he jumped right over it. So, I guess it depends on dogs. My trainer used it to keep dogs off of bow window bc they barked at everyone walking ny. Do not clean with a wet rag, even with battery out, your hand will tingle, but it won't shock you.

it does not work and the cap where the battiers goes was not on it, i have just took it out of box to use. i would like a replacement.

I really like this product but it does use 9 volt batteries and it only lasts a couple of days. I can say my 4 dogs will not get on the couch. I just wish there was an off button so it does not run down the batteries while not in use. I would recommend using rechargeable batteries. I have to take out the 9 volt battery so it does not run the battery low to fast.

It does keep your pets away when it’s out. I hate doing it to them but you can adjust the “zap”. It really isn’t strong. We have stepped on it several times.

Why Are these so thin who has couches this thin please go back to laboratory and resize these are so stupid in a waste of time & over price. It worked for a week or less but then my pets learned how to work their way around it, because it's so thin and not wide enough for a real American sized couch it so made it pointless

Worked for two days. Battery light came on. We replaced the battery with a brand new battery. Still nothing. Went back to the store to purchase another battery (thinking that maybe we just got a batch of bad batteries. Nope! Again nothing! Tried to return it but we are now past the window of opportunity. My fault for waiting to return it. Waste of money.

We used this to deter our cats from peeing in an area of our garage. It works, they won't go near it anymore. Long lasting battery life.

I put two of these on a sofa and love seat and went to work. I did not know if the cat jumped on them while I was out so I picked up the cat and bought him close to one of the mats and he started squirming and meowing. I knew then they had been formally introduced. I also noticed some of the wires pulled out of the mat from the cat's first jump on it. He must of dug his claws into it when he got zapped. I don't think these will last repeated attempts but I also don't think my cat will try to get on them anytime soon.
