Q: what are the dimensions, how many rolls do I need to wrap a 5 ft portable ac exhaust hose?

I don't know the exact dimensions, but I ordered 2 rolls for my whynter portable air conditioner to wrap the exhaust hose. 1 was more than enough, I haven't even opened the second pack yet. also, to wrap an exhaust hose, don't spiral it around, cut it in sections and wrap it around it and tape it together, I have about 6 pieces cut and they go around it and are taped. then a put a second layer over the 6 and taped them too. also, if your trying to get maximum cooling efficiency, I dropped my summertime temperature 9 degrees without ac alone, just by installing Gila solar film.. so to keep the room super cool, I recommend using solar film on your windows to reduce suns heat, and to also wrap the exhaust hose. I have a 750 sq ft 2 bedroom condo, upstairs, and this thing is in the back bedroom, it keeps the whole condo comfortable and the 2 badrooms toward the back freezing. I really like it. also im tall and big 6'2 and 300 pounds, so it really has to be like 67 inside for me to feel cool and comfortable.

Wrapping a duct will always ensure that there is less heat loss from your furnace to the living areas. However, whether you should use Reflectix spiral duct wrap or another method depends on where your crawl space is. If it is in a partially heated space (such as part of your basement where the furnace is), then Reflectix will do fine. If it is under an unheated porch, you should look at insulating the ducts with a material having a much higher R-value.

Its 25 feet of length of the wrap.

Q: Will mice eat through this? I need to replace and wrap my ducts under my trailer, mice eat through it every winter

They can but it’s unlikely. Also moth balls are deadly poison and illegal to use off label.
