Angle Simple Sink Drain Stopper, Brass Bathroom Sink Stopper Replacement, Pop Up Drain with Overflow Hole, Gold

Bought this six years ago, and finally installed it yesterday. My bad. Installation was a piece of cake; it looks great, and works beautifully. For the $15 I paid for this, I will never use anything else again in future endeavors.

I bought a new faucet and drain a couple of years ago and the levered pop-up drain was difficult to adjust and never worked quite right. I also had issues with the drain leaking around the gaskets. I was almost ready to call a plumber to fix it, but then decided to try a new drain with a spring pop up valve. It arrived quickly and installation was quick and easy. No leaks, and everything works great. The only question at this point is longevity. The drain seems to be well made so I expect that it will function well for many years. Very satisfied.

I purchased this specific product because of the slip joint nut that appeared to make installation simpler - hand tightening in an area with limited access (pedestal sink). This aspect of the product actually made my life far worse. Tightening the tailpiece nut enough to get a watertight seal was a nightmare, impossible to grip/hand turn to the point of full seal. The textured surface is not enough. Usually these nuts have wings, or flat faces to make turning with a wrench possible.I ended up ordering a solid brass 1 1/4" slip joint nut to replace the one that came with this unit. I also needed a much longer 9" tailpiece -- the provided tailpiece is very short.The overspill washers worked fine, with the addition of teflon tape over the lower threads. I used plumber's putty for the main sink drain, instead of the provided silicon washer, for a flush. mount.

I used this drain assembly to replace an old pedestal drain. I had to remove the top gasket and use plumber's putty instead. The supplied top gasket was too thick and was making the assembly sit too high and that was causing a leak at the bottom screw and gasket.Unfortunately the length of the supplied drain pipe was short (needed another 3 inches). I had to go to the plumbing store to get an extension.At the end with the plumber's putty and the extension it all worked out well.

Purchased a home this year and the drain stoppers in both bathrooms were dingy and needed replacing. After searching online for a while came across these POP-UP beauties and absolutely love them. Although my faucets do have the pull variety of attachment for drain stopper I opted to forego an actual stopper like that for the ease of opening and closing this drain is amazing. I understand that some of you may not wish to put your hand in the water or whatever you are draining and for you this won't be your selection. Has a nice solid gasket and really dressed up the bathroom with the brass finish. Was very easy to install as I had to figure it out due to my partner wanting me to learn how to do it. Take a picture of the plumbing prior to taking it apart if you might have difficulty reassembling correctly, is like a puzzle with all the internal gaskets of the PVC connections under there. No leaks are the best leaks!

I needed to change to a drain (with overflow) that did not use the typical lever open/close. I was a little hesitant to order this without seeing it up close - I was worried that the popup would make the drain slow or wouldn't seal well when closed.Glad I ordered it. Much more sturdy than I hoped - solid brass with a good heft to it. The popup not only seals well but it also drains quickly. I hate plumbing and it took me couple of attempts to get it installed without leaks - but that is more my skill level than the product. Ultimately - awesome. For the DIY folks - there are no instructions - but that should not matter - it's not rocket science.

I just finished installing this and I am very pleased. For $15 this was a great purchase. I did have to buy an extension tube in order to get it to fit into the P trap but that is not really an issue with the drain stopper itself. Unlike another reviewer mine came with all the necessary gaskets and washers. However, I did not use the top gasket - the one that fits under the ring on the top of the sink. For my sink it looked like it may not have sealed properly. I could be wrong though. Instead I removed the washer and used plumbers putty. I'm old school and that's the way I was taught to install sink drain/stoppers. I had no leaks once I installed it this way. It looks nice and works great.

The new sink had a slightly larger hole than the existing stopper would fit. This one fits perfectly and was easy to install. --The problem is that different sinks can have slightly different drain holes, by a quarter of an inch or so. And different stoppers have different ways of being water tight. This one has two washers. One for under the stopper and one for under the sink. By tightening the thread both washers squeeze tightly to prevent leaking.Works fine and easy to install. Arrived the day after I ordered it. So the bathroom was functional quickly.
