This book is really cool. It's a study in contrasts. The construction of the book and the cutout pages themselves demonstrate the concepts. But, it's also just a catalogue of various geographic terms. And some of them get rather arcane for a child audience.

This book is so beautiful! The illustrations are well made. I am fascinated by the way this book was created. The concept is really clear, the land and water form are really easy to associate them together (island and lake, isthmus and strait). I’m using this book to teach my autistic child everything about land and water form so far he is understanding really nicely with this book. So, I can’t recommend this book enough.

Review from a school teacher: this book is the best at teaching land and water forms! The pages are cut perfectly to show opposite land forms (island/ lake, strait/ isthmus, etc.). The pictures also have a fantastic sense of humor. Highly recommend! Great for all ages of learning because of the excellent visuals.
