I'm guessing mine had been compressed for a long time before it was delivered to me, hence the time it took to loft. This is not really a practical sleep solution except perhaps on the warmest summer night in the UK. However it is excellent as a wrap for sitting around the campfire or even just watching TV on the sofa on a chilly night. It's light, compact, soft, comfortable and very warm.
