This butter substitute really enhances my popcorn experience. The yellow natural color, and buttery flavor, and oiliness turn a plain popcorn into a movie popcorn! I love that it's unsalted so I can add my own preferred level, and I prefer lower salt than the usual popcorn. Great for a truly customized popcorn experience.

Took a chance on this product and so glad I did. Makes our popcorn taste just like the movie theatre. We add the Flavacol salt to the oil for a perfect batch. Well worth the cost.

I am so impressed with this product. It is number one in my book for movie theater popcorn at home. No horrible aftertaste from the type of oil used. I highly recommend this product to my family and friends. Going ve it a try and you will probably fall in love with the simplicity of making popcorn 🍿🍿🍿 at home!!!

My first job was at a movie theater and I used to make the tastiest popcorn. Since then I have had what one would call a Popcorn addiction. I started with microwave version, good but not quite the movie theater taste. Then 5 or 6 years ago my husband bought me a stand alone Northern Popcorn Machine. I was over the moon! He also purchased a big box of the pre filled packages. A REALLY BIG BOX. It has taken all this time to go through it all. And again,it was good, but still not the prefect movie theater quality. I spend countless hours scouring the internet and Amazon searching for that elusive taste. Now that we FINALLY finished that huge box, it was left to me to uncover the secret to the bestest popcorn EVER. It's been months of trying different recipes. I knew it HAD to be coconut oil and it gave it that crunch, but not that buttery flavor. I tried other flavored oils, not there yet. Changed the corn kernals to Orvilles, good size and fluffy, but still not there. Then I came across Franklin’s Gourmet Popcorn Butter Flavored Coconut Oil. OMG, this is IT. Perfect deep yellow coloring, that burst of buttery goodness popping in your mouth. I have achieved the holy grail of Popcorn goodness! The amount of compliments I now get on my popcorn is endless. I am in LOVE with this stuff. In short time I have gone through 3 -30oz containers. (I really meant it when I said addiction). You don't even need to add additional butter, but you could use this stuff as a topping as well. I can't recommend this enough. I just wish is came in a better container to pour straight into the popcorn machine. I have found that if I add the kernels first then pour enough of this oil to just cover them, it comes out perfect every time. I am killing it! Yea to Franklin's for helping me achieve Popcorn Greatness!

Taste? What taste? I'll make my own. Waste of money. Just color and coconut oil. Butter flavor? Only in your mind. I read the reviews. I have zero idea what movie theater popcorn-experience they're having. It's way too expensive for just plain coconut oil. I can pass on the color.

I purchased this to replace the LouAna Butter Flavored Canola Oil that I use in my Gold Medal 2552 12/14 oz popcorn machine, which has great flavor to begin with, but I wanted something a little "healthier", and supposedly less staining on the kettle. My 14 year old son said it was the best tasting popcorn yet. The flavor and coloring of the popcorn was spot on for those looking for buttery flavor, it wasn't overpowering for those who don't necessarily like butter flavor. The main thing I noticed, was that the popcorn was "lighter", meaning each kernel popped had a light and airy taste and feel about it, much more so than with any other oils that I've used in the past, which we liked. All in all, a great product. The price will make it cost prohibitive for fundraising events and such, so I will look for another brand for bulk sizes, but for home use, I definitely recommend it. I am also going to try some regular cooking with it, like fried eggs, etc..
