You need this if you have Asian knives!
I previously reviewed the E5. I also purchase this kit as I have some Asian knives that have a steeper angle. I love how they cut. The guide switch out is simple and the sharpening is just the same process as my ordinary knives. I really love that I can maintain the Asian blades just like they were made. It is sweet to be able to sharpen these myself instead of having to send them off to a factory. This is a worthwhile purchase if you have Asian knives.

Critical accessory for me
These guides work SO well to get a perfect/ consistent edge angle. The belts last surprisingly well. One thing to be aware of is the first sharpening can take a while. If you change the profile of the cutting edge, it takes a few extra passes with the heavy grit belts but once it's there, it is super fast to get the knife back to razor sharp.I think the extra guides are absolutely critical to get the most out of this sharpener.
