Calming Sleep- 100% Pure Essential Oil Blend, Therapeutic Grade, Includes Lavender, Lavandin, Wintergreen, Frankincense, Amyris, Lemongrass, Lemon, Orange + More Essential Oils- 15ml

This is my favourite oil of all time and I’m so addicted to it! I specially ordered an extra bottle to help me through my labour and delivery because it’s so calming and so refreshing. I put a little bit on my wrists as a perfume and also on the diffuser, my favourite is to but about 6-10 drops in a little spray bottle with water and spray it on my face when I need a little refresher.

I have used it myself and gifted to four different people all who love the blend.

This was one of the first bottles of essential oils / blends which I purchased once I developed interest in essential oils. Now, I make all my blends myself. I tried it both in a diffuser and as a topical application (diluted to 2.5% with a carrier oil and applied to the skin on my belly, neck, around the nose, and on the forehead). Neither of the two applications had any positive effect, i.e., my sleep did not get better at all. I had better success with custom-made blends.One of the problems is that I am not sure what is the highest concentration that I can use for topical applications. This mix contains Wintergreen, which is one of those essential oils that should be used with great care and which can only be applied in low concentration, due to its powerful blood thinning properties. It is used primarily for acute pain, even though some practitioners say it has some calming properties. It definitely cannot be used for little kids under 2 years old (and most practitioners caution against using it on kids under 12 years old), pregnant or breastfeeding women, or people who take blood thinning medication. I am not in these categories, but I respect essential oils safety rules and I am careful with oils which warrant be careful with. Well, without knowing the exact composition of this blend (which is proprietary), without knowing how much Wintergreen is in this mix, I cannot make an educated decision if I can try this blend in a higher concentration for topical application. Low dose, around 2.5%, caused a very mild burning feel for a few minutes (which is a warning sign that there is a skin reaction of some sort going on), but no quantifiable positive impact on relaxation or sleep. Neither did I feel any improvements when I diffused this blend.Having said all this, one thing which I learned from classes in aromatherapy which I've been taking is that each oil may have different impacts on different people, depending on their age, race, genes, and many other factors, including reasons why they have troubles sleeping. There is no exact science to predict it, for substances as complex and multifaceted as essential oils. Whatever works for one person may not work for the other. One has to experiment and mix different blends or try different oils to find the best, in terms of effect and (as much as it matters) smell. This is the reason why I rated this blend 3 stars, even though I found it of no help for me. I will donate the bottle which I purchased to a friend, in hope that he will have a better luck with it.

Everyone is different, but for me this smells horrible :( I wanted so much to love it because I have been looking and looking for a great sleep E.O that smells great, (and if possible, no orange smell) and works great. I gave it 3 nights and just couldn't take it anymore, its now in the trash. The ONLY thing I liked about the smell was afterwards (like when the diffuser had been off for a good bit) I could actually only smell the patchouli and I liked that :) It gets 2 starts due to it arriving fast and the size of the bottle was good for the money.

I have issues sleeping because I spent a lot of time behind a computer monitor. I dislike sleeping away from home due to anxiety which is really annoying. I tried many techniques to help me sleep and they all help out a bit. Ever since i started using this product with my oil diffuser i noticed a difference. I can't really tell if I am more relaxed but i know that i knock out really quick and get some good deep sleep. This even worked for me while i was away from home which was amazing. I stayed over at my cousins house and didn't have my white noise so i was a bit anxious. I dropped a few drops of this on one of his pillows and i got one of the best sleep i ever had in my life. Ever since getting this product i been taking more risk and slept away from home 3 times since i gotten it last month and i had no issues sleeping each time.WouldIi recommend this product? YES! If you have issues sleeping and need something to help you relax and its approved by me... there is no reason you shouldn't get this a try. I had to adjust to the smell but after about 3 days this thing has been working for me amazing. I sleep with the bottle next to me because the smell is so potent it can't stay in the bottle.Get it with an essential oil diffusers and it will last longer than just pouring a few drops in a towel.
