Can i use this engine oil on my 1997 gmc suburban?and would it help quite the lifter ticking?

This oil will not necessarily help your lifter ticking. Try a heavier weight oil or an oil specified for "high mileage" cars. Another thought: try STP oil additive. Also, I would be wary of how the high zinc content in this oil interacts with the catalytic converter.

YES...It says right on the front of the container SAE 10w-30.

What I found is 2100 ppm. I used it in my 71 350 sbc this year for the first time. Have always used a zinc additive so far so good. Good quality product as all lucas products are.

Jug on back says not recommended for cars with cat. converters. have a version with zinc for cars with cat. converters?

The reason it is not recomended is because zink can harm the catalyst if it comes in contact. Its not that its particualr to this product, any zink can harm the catalyst if it comes in contact, so they have to put a disclamer on the product.
