Recently, I have become an ardent fan of Jovial Einkorn products. Although I have ground einkorn berries myself, I can't seem to get my final product as fine as the Jovial flour. This pasta is superb and likely made with the Jovial fine ground flour. It is important to fully rinse and drain the pasta before consuming. If you rinse and drain it into a container, you will see the abundance of starch that comes out of the pasta during boiling. As with all Jovial products, this pasta is very pricey.

When you use Einkorn and give up on regular wheat flour you will see a definite improvement in flavor and texture. A recent purchase is a cookbook, Einkorn Everyday The only flour in my cupboard is Einkorn

I have purchased einkorn from the Jovial company a few times & was impressed with their quality. It's difficult to find food stuffs in glass jars, so when I saw the tomatoes from Jovial I pounced on it! The tomatoes are great & the best tasting canned goods I have found since my own. It's a long trip from Italy though & one (but only one!) of the jars was broken. I think the jars could use some individual bubble wrap but I understand this would add to the cost. All in all I was pleased with the product & will purchase it again.

My kids cannot eat modern wheat without significant reactions, but they are able to tolerate einkorn in moderation. We love the jovial einkorn pasta because it is consistently high quality, and the whole family can enjoy the same pasta. We normally get the whole grain pasta, but this time I ordered this traditional pasta for mac & cheese. We were very happy with it! NOTE: This is NOT whole wheat pasta. This is traditional "white" pasta. Jovial does make whole wheat einkorn pasta, but this is not it. The item title is a little misleading.

You can use these tomatoes as a base for any kind of pasta sauce you want. Sometimes I add sauted sausage and bell peppers OR sliced onions, garlic, zucchini and eggplant to make what I call ratatouille. You are limited by your own creativity. They make a great tomato puree if you give them a quick zap in your food processor.
