Dirt King Big Kid Dually Tricycle BLUE

Our son was malnourished and neglected as an infant for nine months. He suffers still at age six from poor core and muscle strength. He has never been able to peddle any tricycle we have bought for him and has to just push them around with his feet. We had to move the seat way down the center bar in order for him to reach the peddles so I was worried he wouldn't be able to ride this trike for a long time. Something really clicked with this trike and he was joyfully able to peddle it forward and backward right away. I also was worried about him wrecking since the trike has no brakes, but even on a sloped area, it slows down very quickly when not peddled. He is so proud to finally be able to peddle a trike by himself and he can keep up with the other children just fine. the other children are all jealous of his "dirt trike" and wish they had been special enough to get one as well.

Purchased it as a gift, it's very sturdy and big enough for an adult. The quaiity of build is good however it has an overpowering off gassing from the rubber used. We've had it for a month and the odor is still very strong
