Si vous avez un OP-Z, l'OP lab est obligatoire

I’ve found this to be a really useful addition to my OP-Z. Syncing with pocket operation is now simple and it’s easier to send midi to the z than it is through usb. When I say easier I mean that there’s no longer conflict with other audio devices and no horrible sound that you sometimes get when usb is connected. I had issues with AUM not being able to use my focusrite when the z was connected via usb - oplab solved that issue. I’ve had no connection issues with the module at all, easy to install and easy to get working 👍

The Op-lab allowed me to connect my OP-Z to my modular synth and other external keyboards, and gives me plentiful options for creating music. The earlier quality issues TE seemed to have with this unit, are no longer an issue.

There's something wrong with the way this module was designed. It works perfectly, but *only* if I physically hold it in place. As soon as I let go, it loses its connection to the OP-Z and stops working. There's clearly something wrong with the locking mechanism. And I think TE realised this, because the rumble module had a completely redesigned lock that actually works. Apparently some people on the internet have worked around this with glue or jamming in bits of foam, but I sent it back. For £130 I expect it to fit properly. :-(

There are two versions of this module. What amazon is selling is the old version that is fundamentally flawed. Why Teenage Engineering hasn't done the right thing and done a full recall on these old modules KNOWING full well that they are defective, is beyond me. Bottom line, they won't work unless you do something like what I did, which is wedge a piece of paper between the clip and the body of the OP-z to hold it in place. It's an easy fix and it works GREAT after that, but having to rig up a $150 module for my $700 synth, both of which are brand new, is garbage. Shameful.
