these are excellent quick connectors. be sure you understand that brass should not be connected directly to aluminum, or you will experience the dreaded "galvanic corrosion" and will not be able to disconnect the fitting. VERY SIMPLE SOLUTION is to get PLASTIC connectors wherever there are brass and aluminum connections. for a buck or two at most, it is well worth it. i promise you, if you do not do this, you will NEVER be able to disconnect the brass from the aluminum, even if you think you can lubricate the connection . Galvanic corrosion will chemically bond the metals together!i have plastic adapters on all my spigots and on hoses that have aluminum threads (most do), and you can get them with little shut-off valves as well - very cheap and totally worth it.given that proviso, these connectors are high-quality brass and pretty much leakproof. you may want to store them away if you have heavy freezing in the winter, to help protect the rubber. you wont be needing these in freezing weather anyway, so treat them well !

We used this fitting for outside garden hose. Easy install, I didn't even use a tape and it didn't leak (neither from the threads nor from the fitting. Works as it should.

the product is ok, but the o rings are cheap and leaked and went to my local hardware store and bought better o rings and works without any leaks. The red one are the replacement I bought.
