3M 4200 sealant is great for marine applications. I recently had a swim step screw which pulled out of the transom, so after plugging the hole with epoxy and drilling it out, I used this product to provide a water tight attachment point for the swim step frame, and to provide additional adhesive strength for the repair. The sealant is easy to use, but plan to wear gloves during application as it can get messy. Also note that this product does not adhere to rubber very well, as I tried to use it to attach new rubber soles to a pair of shoes but it did not work for this purpose.

This is a very good product by 3M. The 4200 is made for marine purposes but you can find many uses around the house as well, especially plumbing which is also water related. This is serious adhesive sealant. Unlike it's sibling 5200 ( which is Permanent) the 4200 with force can be removed to replace or re-repair a part. I learned of it's value from my experience with my sailboat.
