HP 78 Tri-color Original Ink Cartridge (C6578DN)

Delivery was fast and it successfully completed the HP "New-Install" checkout procedureI did notice that the package indicated that it was manufactured in "Singapore" (no surprise)with a "APR-2022" expiration date (not real-bad , but not real good)I fear that HP-78 replacement cartridge will become much harder to find as time goes on,as it is probably only used in older HP InkJet printers(15-20 years for my HP printer)I can not find the HP-78 (single-unit packaging)in the usual national office supply stores in our area(ditto for their on-line stores)I am prone to order another HP-78 right now(to delay the inevitable "End-of-Life")but HP support indicates ......"Be sure to use the HP Inkjet print cartridge before the “install by” date on the print cartridge package."The HP-78 cartridges tend to last around 1-year (MOL) in our household,so I feel like I'm caught between a" Rock-n-Hard-Place" with my "ancient"but still very functional printer(which is placed in a very specific location,where most new printers would not be installable due to the very limited available "Foot-Print")

I will only buy the HP brand. This was a very good price and I got it well before I needed it, so it sat unopened for quite some time before I finally opened it and put it in my printer; yet when it did, it worked perfectly. I can't ask for more than that.

Even though I had an issue with the dat on the cartridge as received, after communicating with Jery and his personal guarantee to take the cartridge back if I had issues after installing and using I took him up on that and was pleased because Jery stood behind the product he shipped no matter what. Used on in Box he would take it back if I was dissatisfied. This is unlike soo many Internet vendors I was shocked but happy to read it in his detailed email in response to my inquiry.. So instead of playing send back and wait for another to ship once they get the original back I installed it and it worked perfectly at over $20.00 less than Staples, Best Buy, Wally World etc. Way to go Jery. When I set up the cartridge to use, color is coming out slightly fainted then it should be. Wording in color barely can be seen as ghosted it is.

This cartridge did not work at all. Not a speck. Appears to be a new cartridge. I popped the fill holes and pressurized each color. I could not force any ink out. I filled each color with ink. I again pressurized each color. I got a little ink to come out. I tried printing, but still, not a speck of ink comes out. I am screwed royal. A big waste of money and I can not get a refund of my money. That is why I did the extra work to try to get it to work.

I ordered the cartridge on June 17th, 2014. It arrived on June 19th, 2014 (thank you Amazon Prime.) The expiration on the cartridge is Apr 2016. It arrived in brand new unopened HP retail packaging. I opened the packaging, installed the cartridge into my HP DeskJet 970 Cxi print, printed a test page, and printed a photo on photo paper. The colors and saturation are excellent. The cartridge is good. I'm not sure why others had different experiences, but my experience with this purchase was spot on. I will be ordering more cartridges as backup now that I know they're okay.

Works good for an old printer but, to expensive for the use you get out of the cartridge. Color cartridge doesn't last very long. Maybe less cost for newer printer

Works just as expected. This particular cartridge worked just like the ones from the big box stores. However, I bought another OEM from Amazon after this one ran out and it didn't last as long. Bottom line is that I may just go back to the big box in the future. At least that way, if it fails prematurely, I might get relief from the store. Returning a potentially bad cartridge online would probably be more trouble than it's worth.But for this subject review, the cartridge worked great.
