It connects via bluetooth and if it works with Keynote, it should also work with Powerpoint for IOS. I7m using it with Macbook Air, but if I remember the reviews correctly, it works with an iPad. **Q: Is the remote compatible with the iPad mini 2?** A: I cannot answer this for an iPad mini. However, I have the latest iPad Air. The iPadOS does appear to recognize the bluetooth of the device. PowerPoint on the iPad won’t support a remote. Keynote will support a remote but apparently via the WiFi network for an iPhone or another iPad. One bit of advice I found is to pair a Bluetooth keyboard and use the arrow keys. Worked great at first. Looked really nice, but then it would randomly jump multiple slides during presentations. Currently it won't pair with my MacBook.
