Growing Chaya in Colorado (greenhouse)
I am growing this cutting in my forest garden greenhouse in Colorado. It got off to a slow start in a pot over several months, yet is now five feet tall. I harvest a few leaves each week, carefully cook them, and enjoy its Mayan nutritional magic. Indeed, follow the advice: if you get a cutting, remove all of the leaves and let it re-grow them when it's ready. The old leaves will just be a drain on its vitality until it can grow some roots.

It looks pretty sad
I'm hoping it grows the part where there is no leaves is hollow pretty much halfway through took too many days to get here once the carrier got it I think is the problem

Growing strong
This little plant came with a heart to survive. I have her on the east side of my patio and she has grown several leaves and continues to thrive. I put some seashells on the top of her dirt just to help her feel at home since she lives native close to the ocean
