Amazing charger mount by a great company
I've bought two of these so I can have one in multiple vehicles. They are durable, very customizable, effective, and sleek and Joyroom is a great company with AMAZING customer service. After trading in my old daily-driver I tried moving this to my new truck but the sticky pad had lost some of its grip (understandable after years on a dash). I asked their CS just for where I could buy a replacement pad and they ended up sending me a whole new unit for free. Couldn't speak more highly of this product or Joyroom in general.

I would buy again
Joyroom Tiaxial Electric Wireless Charging Car Holder model JR-ZS219. I would buy this again. The label on the back says made in China, input:5V/2A 9V/2A 12V/1.5A output: 5W/7.5W/10W/15W max. The box says it’s applicable to phones from 4.7” to 6.8”. The box also says Shenzen Nito Power Source Technology Co., service hotline 400-30-3321. The package comes with a disc with adhesive to stick to your dash, the sucker cup base, and a vent mount. The mount has a USB-C power input. It does not come with a power source but does come with a USB-C to USB-A charging cable. The package specifies it needs a QC3.0 fast charging car charger for maximum charging. With my iPhone 12mini it seems to fast charge (7.5W ) even using the USB-A cable attached to my QC3 car adapter which has both USB-C and -A output. The holder has a blue LED on the left side. It is solid blue with power and no phone, and heartbeats with phone charging. The sucker mount works well. The black silicone sucker cup is about 69mm diameter. The ball on the end of the arm can extend between 35 mm and 150mm from the edge of the cup. The vent mount also works well. Both use a ball and socket to attach the holder for maximum adjustability. There are buttons on each side of the charger that open the arms and the foot. The best feature of this device is the capacitor that allows the buttons to open the arms and release the phone many minutes after power is cut. Inside is a thermocouple touching the charging coil that limits or stops charging above a certain temperature, which is a great idea. There is also a large pad the phone rests against that moves up and down with the foot. I’m not sure it’s purpose, the charging coil is behind another layer of plastic that does not move. The moving pad is almost 2mm thick. If your case is too thick to charge wireless with this mount you can easily remove the moving pad, cover the gaps with tape and it might allow your case to wireless charge. Or, the foot is split to allow you to connect a wire to charge. Only if you purchase directly from Joyroom will they warranty this for one year. One of the arms on my mount broke after 9 months so I contacted the Amazon seller Sanosan Tech US and they happily sent a replacement. Thank you!

1 year review - update
Updating my original review. The vendor reached out to remedy the situation reported below. I decided to update my review because they showed me they truly stand behind their product and want to support their customers. They let me know the reported issue below was resolved in a later model, which is great to hear because as I said, the actual charger itself is great. Excellent customer service which doesn’t happen often, especially in online shopping. Very happy and would be willing to purchase from them again! Bought this about a year ago. The device itself works perfectly, charging my phones well. Sometimes I have to remove phone cases from my phones, but that’s with most chargers so that isn’t that big of a deal. The issue I am having right now, after a year, is that the sticky jelly part that sticks on the arm suddenly will not hold. The device falls off from the dashboard. It decided to fail in me while driving in Florida rush hour, bumper to bumper traffic on a Friday evening, and nearly break my phone. I was able to catch it while driving and saving my phone. I tried reattaching it to the dash but it wouldn’t hold. The plastic part that sticks to the dashboard itself is not the issue. It’s the soft jelly piece that is the problem. I’ve searched for a replacement and they don’t seem to sell it. I don’t want to buy an entire charging mount because the jelly piece isn’t sticky anymore. There has to be a way to replace this? But the device itself works great. The reason for my 2 star rating is because of the lack of longevity and replacement pieces.

a really awesome charger
I originally bought this charger in 2022 but the mechanical clamp broke after 3 years of daily use. I should have been more gentle. I bought it again in 2025 because this is the best charger I've ever used. I will be more gentle with it. I recommend not forcing the gripper open with force, only using the button

Automated grip works great
I've used a lot of in-car phone holders over the years, and this is the first I've gotten with a motorized grip -- that is, where it closes on the phone automatically and then releases with a button press when you're leaving. This works great. It automatically opens when you start the car and the USB port powers up, and then when you power down, you press a button to release and the motorized arm opens. Much better than the spring-loaded ones. As for installation, that was as easy as it can get. It uses a combination of a sticky-gummy part which is inside a suction-based contraption, and between those, it holds firm. Don't plan on repositioning (thanks to the adhesive part), so get that right the first time, and once you do, it's going nowhere. It holds. Alternatively, you can use the nice solid vent mount. This one is among the best vent mounting I've used. I used that for a couple of days while giving lots of time for the adhesive to cure before putting weight on it. If you stuck with that, it works very well too. The arm gives a great deal of flexibility for positioning and is reasonably stable. There is a bit of jitter as your car is moving/bumping along, but not excessive, and I'm not sure that is entirely avoidable with these materials. So far in a couple of months I haven't had the pivot points losing their positioning. The one swivel point directly behind the actual holder (where it attaches to the arm) does eventually start to become slightly loose so that the phone starts drifting into more of a tilt, but hand-tightening it gets you another few weeks. Plan on tightening that part every few weeks because it looks like it's the point where it will be working itself loose over time with regularity. Maybe that's an opportunity for the manufacturer to develop an improved locking mechanism. I've had nothing break so far, but I do get the feeling that the motorized grip mechanism and button don't FEEL especially solid, so it won't surprise me if something breaks earlier than I'd like. We'll see. That's currently just my perception so there is no actual evidence that this will happen. Will report back if it does break. ((Update after 10 months: It is still holding up just fine)) Updated review regarding the charging ability: Previously, my review indicated that it just barely maintains the phone's charge level (Pixel 7 Pro here) but wouldn't add to it. Well, turns out that there was some kind of change to either charging or power utilization in one of the firmware updates that has completely changed how the phone charges wirelessly so that now it can actually charge very well on this charger and with less heat than it was generating while charging before. So now if I head out with 85% battery, it has a good chance of being near 100% by the time I'm at my destination. That's good. So updated conclusion as well -- the sort of delicate feel (a lot of cheap plastic) hasn't so far led to any breakages. The adhesive on the dashboard has started coming loose a bit as the weight of the phone on the arm is pulling on it, so I expect that I'll have to find something like what was provided to reattach it at some point soon, but I can't deduct for that because if they made it any stronger it would probably make it too difficult or impossible to remove later on. The suction cup did come loose just once in nearly a year from that circular metal plate that's attached to the dash via adhesive, but again that's expected with suction cups as well, and once I reattached, it hasn't come loose again. Charging has been great since the firmware update. The motorized open/close works perfectly still. So I'm upping my score from 4 to 5 and fully recommending this charger/holder.

Better than my last one...
This is the second dashboard phone charger/holder that I've purchased. The other was a different brand and did not have the auto open and close feature, which I wasn't sure if I'd like or not. In my line of work I am quickly moving from property to property and the phone is constantly being removed and replaced into the charger, so that charger is getting quite a workout. My last one couldn't handle it and eventually one of the arms that holds the phone in place broke off and made the entire unit useless. This one actually seems to be sturdier and more solid. Definitely has great suction power and never falls off the dash. The auto open and close works surprisingly smooth and has turned out to be a convenient feature as it sort of grabs the phone and tightens around it to hold it in place. I do have a fairly thick cover on my phone (not thick like an Otterbox though) and a Popsocket on the back, neither of which is an issue with this holder. The Popsocket is up high on the back of the phone allowing me to hold my phone steady for pics, but if placed lower it could possibly get in the way of the holder. I think my only complaint, and it might not be legitimate because I draw down the battery frequently on some work orders, is that it seems like it can take longer than I want it to to recharge to 100%. But that is usually if I've allowed the phone to drop to a 40-60% battery charge. Because I need it to stay well charged throughout the day I suppose I'm a bit impatient and expect more than if I was charging it under typical circumstances. All in all though, I'm quite please and the cost of this one was at least half what I spent before. It's priced extremely well for the quality of the unit. I even received an email from Melissa, a rep with the company, who wanted to make sure that the item had arrived ok and that I was pleased with it. She was genuinely interested in my input and for responding gave me a lifetime warranty which was a great added bonus. Nice to see a company actually going out of their way and doing things for the customer these days. Thank you Melissa! So, overall I am happy and super pleased with this purchase. UPDATED 8/26/22 So my charger stopped working properly...so bummed because I was loving it. Please understand, it gets a lot of use. For work I'm traveling to different properties all day and taking photos. The phone is in and out of the cradle, sometimes well over a hundred times in a day. It gets used. But I loved it so much that I bought another one and was put back in touch with Melissa who instantly took care of everything in the most amazing way. She immediately shipped out a new one to replace my broken one, which arrived within days. She also asked me to ship back the broken one so they could figure out what went wrong AND she immediately refunded my shipping fee. Honestly, when was the last time any of us have gotten such quality customer service? This item comes with a lifetime warranty and they stand by their word. I am so pleased with them that I purchased a quick charger for the car as well. These are the kind of companies worth buying from and the kind of people who care about their products and their customers. Super pleased :)

TRASH, do not waste your money!!!!
I actually hated this thing from the moment I received and installed it. I don’t understand how it has such positive reviews?? First off, It’s NOT wireless. I’ve had it for a few months now and every time I unplug it, it immediately does not work. So it has to stay plugged in even though it says wireless.. ? Unless I’m just stupid? Also, unless you use the attachment that sticks to glass or your dashboard, the other attachment that is meant to attach to your A/C vents is TERRIBLE. I purchased a brand new Mazda CX-5 and attached this to my air vent, not only does it constantly weight it down, but when I finally removed the piece of junk, it left a PERMANENT indentation in my dash. In my brand new car!! I don’t have a picture of it right now but I will attach one… LASTLY, it takes forever to open and close on your phone??! Like I want something that instantly closes on my phone, and my last one did that AND was motion sensored. Instead, you have to push the buttons on the back side and it takes 5-7 seconds/is really delayed. Again, I just don’t understand how this has such positive reviews. I wish I never bought this stupid thing.

Not the one..
So this charger does everything its supposed to do. It opens and closes fine and even charges well. HOWEVER... it doesn't really fit my phone (Note 20 Ultra 5G) with the case on. The arms simply don't open wide enough. I basically have to push it into the phone mount with the arms fully retracted. It holds the phone fine once its in and I can pull it out fine also BUT I have the charger hard mounted to the dash. Others might find this impossible with other mounts as they will likely become dismounted from their mounting spot. It would likely work fine without the case, so technically their advertising isn't false, but who doesn't have a protective case on their phones these days? But basically I can't really make use of the auto clamping feature which is unfortunate. Also one other "feature" I don't like is that it will close the arms a few seconds after you have pushed the button to release your phone. So every time you get back into your car you have to push the button to get it to open up again. This is inconvenient especially when you consider that the last charger I had would stay open, and it was great to be able to jump in and quickly set your phone in the cradle without all the button pushing and waiting for it to open. A bigger problem with this is that the small battery in the charger that is supposed to open it with the car off dies after more than like 6 hours. So sometimes it wouldn't open for me until I turned the car on and I sitting there with my phone in my hand the whole time. All this sounds like little issues, but to be honest they have become tiresome to deal with especially since my last charger didn't work like this. I only replaced that one because after a year its stopped charging well. Finding a good wireless auto clamping charger hasn't been easy. I'll be searching for yet another one
