Drop tank by one/third - add fresh water with tank safe / I prefer Tetra products for this. Also check PH balance, medications can affect this technically it is better to remove & treat fish that are affected and not the entire tank at times may be a better option. **Q: can I use these filters for my Aqueon quietflow 10?** A: no, too big for that **Q: How often do you have to replace it? It's a little expensive to do every month, so I'm a little leery to try it.** A: I replace it about every month. FYI you can wash them out and reuse them. I do it all the time. With just dawn dish soap and let it air dry before using again. I keep 6 of the altogether and they last. Of course they don’t suggest this . They would lose money.
