I live in Texas where it's hot and humid and stuff likes to just grow in my fountains! This enzyme really keeps it under control and is non-toxic to the birds and bees and my dogs. My fountain did not develop any growth this past summer with regular use. Easy to use.

I was expecting this to be totally useless, so imagine my surprise when our fountain went from turning green in 2-3 days to lasting weeks with no need for cleaning. The birds and squirrels have not objected to it in any way. It is really nice to look out and see clear sparkling water. It says it doesn't affect algae, but we've had no algae growth since we started using it. A capful or two every time we fill the fountain works wonders.

This is my second time (second year) ordering this product. I get it because it's supposed to be better for the birds rather than using regular soap or cleaners. I'm not sure if it really works. How can you tell? It can take a lot of scrubbing and you're tempted to just get some dish soap... It is clear and looks like water. I add it to a dishpan of warm water when I clean the birdbaths. I guess it works fairly well.

Once there was no longer a chance of it freezing, I placed a potted plant saucer on the ledge of our apartment patio and filled it with water to provide a drinking water source for the birds who live and nest nearby. Sparrows, finches and white-winged doves frequent this makeshift watering hole on a daily basis, but earlier this summer, I began having problems with keeping it free of algae--a slimy, green film on the bottom and sides of the saucer. (When we moved to the desert southwest last fall, I didn't think this would be a problem, but it has been. I've also had problems with white, crusty mineral deposits on the edge of the saucer, but I expected that.) I used a small amount of this product to clean the saucer, as best I could, with a small wire brush. Although there was still some calcium deposit around the rim after I scrubbed (and scrubbed), when I let it sit for a day, the black spots disappeared. So I placed the saucer back on the ledge, squirted a small amount into the empty saucer, and then filled it with water. After five days, there are no signs of algae and no additional mineral build-up! I just replace any water that the birds have consumed or has been lost to evaporation when I water my potted plants in the morning. My plan is to empty out the water, clean it thoroughly with the brush and then replace the product and water once a week. So far, so good! The birds and I thank you. (So does my husband, who has noticed a significant reduction in mosquito bites since I started using this product!)

Stay clean for about 3-4days for my fountain. But the issue is there are bubbles on the second tier when the water flows down. Not sure if I will continue to use it cause I don’t really like the bubbles in my fountain.

Works great

We have continually had problems keeping our large water feature pot free of alkaline stains, but this compound has completely taken care of the problem, and and the pot always glistens. And it's safe for birds (and dogs). We will always use it sparingly as recommended

Use it for my outside water fountain. I found I have to use more than the required amount of product.

Good cleaner for outdoor fountain, it really works!

Uneconomic. I've gone back to manual cleaning.

Very disappointed with product. Added to birdbath and 3 days later green algae . Put some in my Water feature and 3 days later smelt vile. Do not do what it says on the bottle.
