Is this item difficult to clean?

A little difficult. You need to use the tiny metal pellets included in the package, with warm water ( I use water only ). Swirl the decanter with de water and the pellets inside and rinse until the water is clear. Be sure to take out all the small pellets.

Does this pour out a single serving?

If you're me and a single serving is an entire bottle of wine then, yes! But seriously, no, it doesn't titrate to just a single 4 oz glass per se.

What is the size of the opening?

The opening is oval,the longest size is about 2.28‘’(5.8cm) and the shortest size is about 1.5‘’(3.8cm).

REALLY HAPPY WITH THIS DECANTER OVERALL - BUT.. hard to pour without dripping

Was really skeptical but pulled the plug thinking even if it was 'just ok' for $49 it would be fine.Packaging was very nice with a nicely designed box (as shown), and the decanter was wrapped inside a nice drawstring nylon decorative/protective bag. Very nicely cushioned. & would make for a very nice gift presentation.Decanter itself is as beautiful as it appears in the photos. I have it on our built-in cabinet at the end of our dining room and it's a real showpiece especially with the cabinet lights turned on.Well balanced and easier to pour that it's long elegant handle might suggest. Haven't used the cleaning beads yet but looks like enough included to do a good job.ONLY downside - the thickness of the glass ends up making it almost impossible to pour into a wine glass without some dripping as you pull back from the pour. Not a big problem but you should always pour with a towel under the neck to catch the dripping.You can see the difference in the thickness of this decanter's glass compared to the very thin glass that got on Wish.com. The other decanter looks great also but REALLY fragile and thin compared to this one!Definitely highly recommend this and will likely buy another as a spare. Thanks!

Quality and excellent value for money

Made from fine clear Crystal. Good value money. The novel design does not detract from its functionality, its easy to pour wine , Only slight negative is that after pouring< a common fault with this type , a small amount of wine runs down from the spout and would stain a table cloth. Easily remedied by using a napkin to dab the spout each time.recommended buy

Beautiful but does drip after pour

So beautiful sitting on my bar cart, I have cleaned it but never used it for wine. When cleaning it is true about the pour everyone says in the reviews, it drips after a pour. This aside I saw a price drop and went for it for the holidays. I do not have a decanter with this wide of a surface area so this is great and I can see this used for things other than wine. 4/5 due to the drip after a pour
