I used this product to tie my tamales. Worked great no issues. Easy to cut and tie. No issues steaming in pot. The cord is a great quality and can be used for multiple things besides cooking. It’s a large spool so plenty left so will use to tie on gift tags to holiday gift bags. Awesome quality item for the price!

Well, I have to say, this was exactly what I was looking for and yes, I love this string. I needed a food-grade, cotton string that was on the thin side, tightly twisted and strong. Purpose was to tie up balls of dough in order to make "Pumpkin Dinner Rolls". The string needed to be thin and tightly twisted so it could be pulled out of the little rolls after baking (without leaving threads in the rolls or otherwise wrecking them). Had never made these dinner rolls before but I became obsessed once I ran across the recipe. Well, in any event, this string was perfect! (Yes, BTW, the stems are a bit too large...will have to perfect that next time I make these). Despite being thin, I believe it would be strong enough to be used for tying up stuffed chicken or pork chops, tying the legs of a turkey and even tying up a stuffed pork loin roast. That said, I have not personally used it for those purposes yet.

I wanted a strong 100% cotton twine for cooking and general use around the house but I didn't want the thick and barely twisted cotton twine I found locally so I took a chance and ordered this one. I am so glad I did! The twine is a natural cotton color with a tight twist. I could not break it when pulling it hard....it is strong enough to tie up plants, secure boxes, and hang decorations outside. I did the burn test to make sure it is cotton and not a synthetic fiber that would melt in the heat of the oven, and it passed that test perfectly. It will come in handy in the kitchen to tie up stuffed roasts or hold turkey legs together at Thanksgiving. This is a small cone of twine (it only measures about 3 3/4" tall and 1 7/8" across so it will fit into a kitchen drawer neatly) with 3 plies and measures 1 mm with 328 yards in the cone so it will last a reasonable amount of time. Would I order it again? Yes, definitely! This is exactly what I was looking for.

High quality and strong. Does not break easily like other string when using force to tie meat.
