**Q: will it stick to hdpe plastics?**
A: No

**Q: Would this be the best primer to use on melamine paneling that is found in bathrooms from the 1950’s?**
A: I was disappointed in this product.  I was using it on wood trim that had been painted with many coats of paint & different types of paint in a 1960's home. I didn't like the coverage & it didn't stop the peeling.  I can't remember if  the instructions said it is appropriate for melamine/plastic. I have painted regular paneling after a light sanding/deglossing and an oil based primer under the top coat. Make sure the product you use is made for your job in a damp environment.

**Q: Can this be used to prevent paint from peeling?**
A: Yes. That is what I used it for. We moved into a place that had peeling paint. I removed what paint was peeling and put this over all the paint so no more would peel. I've had no peeling at all for the 8 months I've had it on.

**Q: Is this a good primer for bathroom where it will be damp?**
A: I used it on my exterior door frames and garage. This stuff is a super basecoat and I suppose it would be good in a bathroom once you paint over it with a good gloss or semi-gloss paint. I love this product and have painted houses for years and will never do it again without it.

This product works! I used some sandpaper and then two coats of this primer in an old, painted toy box. I waited a few days and added a topcoat. The next layer of paint adhered perfectly. No peeling!

This stuff isn't as good as scraping off peeling paint, but it's the next best thing for not having to scrape peeling paint off and helping the peeling paint to adhear to the surface again and filling in the areas where the has flaked off or where the paint has cracks in it! I'd def recommend it! It's thinner than I expected with "triple thick" in the name. But after applying multiple coats I was happy w the results! If the paint flakes off just touching it, if recommend lightly scraping the loose paint B4 attempting to paint over it. It'll come off and get in your brush or end up in the primer and effect the end results. I used it on the front door and surrounding trim at my mom's house. It had been neglected and it would've taken 10 x's longer to scrape the peeling paint off. I will update if it starts to peel or crack. So far I'm very happy with the results!
