I like that these are deeper than other similar sprouters. Works well for kung bean spouts. I found however, that I was growing terrific routs at the expense of the spout. Trials with paper towels, recyclable bamboo towels, cotton recyclable towels and cheese cloth over the bottom of the trays solved this problem. Bamboo are the clear winner. Wonderful straight long kung bean sprouts. I add trays with a few small cans of cat food on top of the mug bean sprouts to yield even thicker sprouts. But this is not necessary.Of course small seeds need bamboo recyclable towels underneath. THE cover keeps the seeds moist without a top cover.Best of all is that I can stack these and grow several types of sprouts for myself and my friends without my husband complaining about so much counter space used up with large bowels and pans all growing sprouts everywhere. These are made to last as long as kept clean. Much better than any electric or other stackable product I have seen or tried. I got these to use for wheatgrass and barley for my chickens and they work amazing for that purpose. Easy to use and they seem durable. I love the lids. I wouldn’t use for any smaller seeds. Mung beans also fit but that seems to be about the smallest seed that can fit without some type of mat. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase.

I love these starter trays for growing microgreens. I gave them 4 stars because I ordered them in August and wanted to use them this spring. I opened them up and realized I only received 3 lids not the 4. Hoping the company will send me the one I did not get. D

The holes on this tray are too big to grow several different types of microgreens. Other then that it’s a good tray

It's is important to know the lids only fit. When the middle tray is in. These are great!
