great fun for little train fans.
I got this train and had it under our Christmas tree running though our Christmas Village. My little boy would watch it for hours, little did he know Santa came early with that one. So after Christmas day, when he was asleep I took it apart (very easy to do btw) and set it up in his room. He loves this thing. Will say it doesnt run to well on the carpet and it derails often. But my son loves it so Im happy!

does not stay on the track
Sadly, this was opened on Christmas, but it does not stay on the track! Yes, the engine is a bit loud and has one working headlight, but it does not stay on the track! I thought I had put the track together wrong, backwards or something, but no. - the track is correctly assembled. I checked the wheels, and both front wheels had an extra piece of plastic on them, so I cut those off and tried again, but still, it does not stay on the track! The track is on a wood floor, and it does not lay flat. Seems as if the track is too small or way too short for the engine. Tried adding the other rail cars, but the straight piece of track is not long enough to get them all lined up. Now I have to find another train and send this one back. One star because the recipient likes the magnetic crane.

Two AA batteries
Larger than Ho scale ,smaller than O gauge, difficult to keep on the track.Fun ,it only uses two "AA" batteries. Not much power, pulling three cars ,might be OK for under your Christmas tree ,without cars. The engine has a light and might be more likely to stay on the track without cars and little more battery life ,still be Fun

Doesn’t stay on tracks
It looks cool, but it just doesn’t run as good as a CAT product should.. it constantly goes off the tracks and is hard to get it lined back up.

Don't be fooled by the price!
I saw this train for my 4yr old who loves trains and the price was great at 17.00 after tax. I also love the cat company from there boots , cloths toys and etc. Soon realized why it was half the price. My son played with it two hours and it stopped riding! It would only ride if you hold the button or use tape. He didn't even have it 48 hrs yet. This would've so far been one of his best sets if the button would work. Yes so far it works with the tape but tape has to be removed when you want to stop it. I would've gave it less stars but the little cars that come with he loves
