Very nice overall
This unit is very useful and high quality. The sound is pristine without hiss or hum. The button layout is good and has a large volume dial. 2 headphone outputs is great as well as dual stereo input and output with a seperate mono channel for subwoofer. I don't like having the power switch in the rear of the unit because of all the cables in the way. It's a solid performer and recommend highly.

Perfect monitor controller for my home studio
I started off with the Mackie Big Knob because it was cheap and technically met all of my needs (2 in 2 out). I decided to try this Behringer unit after giving up trying to solve ground loop and wireless interference noises that were only present when the Big Knob was in line. First impression.. this thing is nice! Nothing about the hardware feels cheap in any way. It has plenty of mass to stay put on a desk while having 9 XLR cables plugged into it. The volume knob has a nice detent and all of the push buttons feel great, and the way they light up when enabled is so much better having to squint at the Big Knob to see if buttons are in or out. Sound quality is fantastic. I can tell no difference at all between going direct from interface to monitors vs having this in between. Both inputs can be active at the same time which can be a convenient feature depending on your setup. Having a dedicated toggle for the sub has been great too since it can be deceptive when mixing in a not so great room. My only gripe is that both headphone jacks are on the front and in my particular setup it would be nice to have at least one of those on the back to avoid a cable running over my desk.. Also, double check the dimensions - it is a little bigger than I was expecting, but it does allow for the buttons and knobs to be spread out for comfortable use even if you have fat sausage fingers. Unless you need more ins and outs, I can't imagine any of the more expensive monitor controllers being able to compare to this one. This isn't just nice for the price, it really is a nice piece of gear.

Works great
I bought this to replace another passive monitor controller that had some noise problems. This one is quiet and doesn't seem to color the sound. It's well built and works great for a small home studio/gaming set up. Currently set up to monitor DAW output from my mac mini through an audio interface as well as the audio out from my windows gaming PC using the MONITOR2USB as an external USB audio device. This doesn't permit using an external microphone or headset/mic combo connected to the MONITOR2USB for the PC, it's audio out only but that's all I need.

Do not buy this unless you're looking for used
This is the third time I've tried ordering one of these, and everytime it has shown up in obviously used condition, with the main volume button loose/broken. I just want to get a new one - why is this so hard?

It works as described
My Audio interface only had one set of outs so was using the headphone out to drive a set of small Jensen speakers. The Monitor 2USB makes it so easy to switch where you want to hear the output. The hook up diagram shows to connect the device directly to your main monitors and another set of speakers. I used the USB connection and could play songs from my collection via VLC, however my DAWs have my interface as the connection. No problem, purched a paid of 6ft XLR speaker cables and connected the interface outs to the Monitor2USB Ins. Works like a charm. No more fiddling with interface main volume and headphoen volume, just push the button for which set of speakers you want to use or leave them out to use one or both of the front headphone outs. Its a steal at this price.

What I needed
Bought to replace a Samson Control C that was wearing out this is good; I can use it and a receiver and speaker switcher to run multiple monitor sets (running 4, could do 5) and a sub - looks cool, gain knob is smooth, price is reasonable haven't tried the USB

Lasted about 1 month. Second unit works great.
Used for about a month. The volume knob stopped working. Lowering the volume to zero lets the signal through and the volume goes up and down randomly. When it worked it was nice, but it lasted only weeks. Not sure if this is a defective unit, or just poor quality build. UPDATE: the replacement unit works as expected. Great amazon gave me enough time to replace the item. Now that I have a working unit, it's great. Having a big volume knob and being able to get audio in and usb audio in, it's great! I still have to try the mono output, but since I don't have a use for it, I'll probably never know. Overall the product is great, i just hope it'll last. Update 2: months have passed and it has been working great. Very useful product. Upgrading to 5 stars. Update 3: 8 months in and this has become an indispensabile tool for me. Just great!

I was surprised how clean this unit is, thank you VCA control. Good facility for my small studio with plenty of connections and a good price. Recommended.

Sounds amazing, actual notched volume control and separate headphone control with a crossfeed. I have it paired with the XENYX X1204, KRK R5s and AT M50x headphones and its beauty. Live stream and record with OBS, vmix and stream live to whatever with more control.
