I have not tested other machines on the market, but I am pleased with this one. The ability to use size 3-5 balls is great. The balls will slow down if you don't let the wheels spin back up for a second or 2, but I believe that will be the case with all shooters of this style. In any case the shooter allows rapid fire trapping drills. The shooter will be great for crosses in the spring/summer because of the power it has. Just have to bring a long enough extension cord. It's not very portable and has no battery options for taking it on the road that I am aware of. Assembly is easy enough and takes only a 10-15 minutes. I recommend 2 people to assemble though. It's heavy and requires you to line up the base with the arm to fasten it. You can quickly adjust the horizontal aim of the shooter by varying the speeds of the two wheels or adjusting the position of the shooter. Adjusting the height of the ball is a little more difficult as you will have to adjust the angle of the shooter by loosening a knob and changing the angle of the shooter and then tightening it back up. It is possible to just hang onto the handle and aim manually as well. I'd like to use it on 7" diameter (22" circum) balls.** A: I own one and you can adjust the machine for different size balls, but I would be very surprised if it could be adjusted for smaller than a size 3 ball. I have only used size 4 and size 5 balls in the machine. Also I have found that a ball that is a little more scuffed works better. Brand new slicker balls don't really catch well on the throwing tires and do not fly as expected. So I would be very surprised if this machine worked on anything smaller than a size 3 soccer ball. **Q: Is it disassembled or not when delivered?** A: It does not come assembled.
