I only need to use about a teaspoon of this on my sponge as it lathers up really well. Which I feel makes it worth the price. My skin has improved and is not as itchy and definitely looks better. It was i beleive always suitable for babies, so steroids would not be included. However I am not a chemist, so if you are still worried it may be best to ask the cetaphil company direct. **Q: Is this a gel or a cream and does it lather up nicely ?** A: The product is more of a lotion.
