Following my vasectomy, everyone recommended compression shorts or a jock strapTrying to save some dignity I wasted time and money with a few pairs of compression shorts, as i figured i'd wear them for running or something down the roadDONT WASTE your time and DONT sufferyou need to get a FORMAL jock strap, this worked so perfectly i bought two!!let me say it againIF YOU'RE GETTING A VASECTOMY, GET THIS JOCK. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY WITH COMPRESSION SHORTS, they wont provide enough support.This ran true to size. I wear a 34'' waist paint, and typically wear size large boxer briefs,so i ordered a medium. It was on the snug side WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT.My hope is this review comes up when you search vasectomy, so I'll say it again.GET THIS JOCK FOR A VASECTOMY.(i literally have nothing to gain from writing this, i just wish someone would have shouted it at me)

We ordered these because my partner had surgery on his urethra and needed the extra support during recovery. I would recommend sizing up one or two sizes for this purpose because they are tight on the groin. Great quality and comfort. A little pricey for one pair, but worth it. These will last and his comfort while being catheterized in recovery was priceless.

It's pretty good. For my purposes it wasn't as good as the one with the ice packs. But if you're buying for normal use and not post surgery it should be fine. It seemed a little tighter than expected but that's probably due to swelling so just keep that in mind I guess.
