Bought this one with discount, my first of this brand. It is good, I have been practicing more efficiently with it since it doesn't slip and I can keep my postures better. It is thick enough for my knees, and has a nice pattern.

This mat is nice and soft, and it has just the right amount of thickness needed for my floor workouts. I don't use it for yoga, so I can't speak to that. But it is great for core exercises where I'm on my back. For plank variations, however, I find that my hands tend to slip so I'm not able to maintain stability in those positions. Even when I try the recommendation of wiping it with a damp cloth/towel for extra stickiness, there's still a lot of slipping going on. But all-in-all, not a bad mat for the price.

Love it, thick, comfortable and beautiful

I had a Gaiam mat that I loved for over ten years. When it started wearing out, I decided to replace it with the same brand thinking it’d be the same quality. Many reviewers talked about how slippery this mat was, but I didn’t listen and bought it any way. They were right. It’s slippery. I’ve now had this mat for almost 5 years and it’s still slippery. I’ve tried every Google search suggestion out there to make it sticky and I still slide in downward dog. I’ve discovered that the non decorative side isn’t as bad, but still. It’s hard to get into a good stretch when your hands are slowly sliding away from you.Having said that, this mat is great if you don’t need stickiness. The thickness is great and it’s comfortable to stand, kneel, and lay on.
