Deep, cozy patchouli done right
Smells wonderful – rich, smooth patchouli with none of the harsh, head-shop funk that cheaper oils usually have. This one leans warm and resinous, almost velvety, with just a hint of sweetness that keeps it from feeling dusty or overpowering. It fills a room quickly but never punches you in the face, and the scent lingers for hours after the lamp is out, which is exactly what you want from a Lampe Berger refill. If you already use Maison Berger, the quality is exactly on par with their core line: clean burn, no oily residue, and zero synthetic “air freshener” vibe. If you're new to it, this is one of those fragrances that makes you understand why people collect these refills – it actually elevates the room rather than masking odors. Great for evening, rainy days, or when you want your space to smell like an old library, a slow jazz record, and a stack of well-loved books. If patchouli has ever let you down before, this one will change your mind.

Amazing scent!
I absolutely love the scent of Sandalwood Temptation — it’s warm, elegant, and just the right mix of woodsy and smooth. It makes my whole space feel cozy and calm without being overpowering. My only complaint is that the fragrance doesn’t last as long as I’d hoped. The scent fades fairly quickly after using it, which is a shame because it smells amazing while it lasts. Still, it’s one of my favorites, and I’ll probably keep buying it for that beautiful aroma.

My favorite smell in the house
The Charleston is the only scent I get for my Lampe Berger and it’s the only reason I still use it. I absolutely love the smell and I save it as a treat for myself after cleaning. If it wasn’t so expensive I would use it every day because it makes me so happy. To me, this smells like a luxury resort. I pick up on some fruit smells but the perfume smell blends nicely so it’s not really fruity. So glad I can still order it here.

Love the smell of "Under the Olive Tree"
I was somewhat reluctant to purchase this scent because of the Patchouli note, which I strongly dislike. However based on the many reviews stating Under the Olive Tree to be their absolute favorite and how much I like all the other fragrance notes listed, I bought it! And I am so glad I did. I love this scent. I followed instructions and filled my oil lamp 2/3rd's full, lit it for two minutes then blew it out. The fragrance filled my home for the entire day. However, it also used the entire amount of oil I had poured into my lamp which was 1/2 of the bottle. At this rate of consumption these oils will be cost prohibitive for me to use. With that said the scent is very nice. It is strong enough without being too strong, I could smell it all day. My home is not large but my main living area was noticeably filled with this lovely scent.

Pumpkin Spice Lovers will like this!
Wife absolutely loves anything and everything pumpkin spice. I decided to try this out to see how it would work, and we couldn't be happier with it! Nice, clean, and not overpowering. EDIT: We ordered the Candy Apple (based on other reviews) to replace the Pumpkin Spice for the Holiday season. After cleaning the lamp, and replacing the wick, we were hoping for something nice and soothing ... Don't do it!! It's the worst scent I've ordered. It doesn't smell anything like apples nor does it smell like anything fruity/fall/winter. I cannot even describe the scent as it's nothing I've ever smelt before. STAY CLEAR of the Candy Apple. EDIT: We ordered something for my wife's office, we tried Exquisite Sparkle. We love this scent. It's light and not overpowering. Definitely a woman's scent but ... if your looking for a manly scent, definitely try Wilderness. It reminds me of a mans cologne. EDIT: We've also tried White Tea and Ocean Breeze. Both of those are light and not overpowering. I'd say the Ocean breeze is a clean smell is definitely stronger but the White Tea remind me of Westin Hotels, just not quite as strong but a very nice clean undertone smell.

If you like the olfactory overwhelm that is the air-freshener aisle at Target, you'll love Atlantic Tide...
Found this fragrance to be pretty unbearable, unfortunately. Maybe -- maybe -- if you cut this with 10 parts 91% isopropyl alcohol to 1 part of this Atlantic Tide fragrance oil, it would be OK, but it's really hard to tell if that would thin out this loud houseparty of bad candle mojo. Even though we diluted it 50/50, it was really oppressively unpleasant and cloying, and the scent wasn't enjoyable enough to want to experiment further. To my family's noses, there *was* something faintly beachy about it, which is good since that was the expectation, but it was not reminiscent of the ocean or tidal scents (seaweed, sand, (sea) cucumber, ozone, etc.). No discernible natural / aquatic notes at all; rather, it's pretty much reminiscent of the amalgamation of "fresh" fragrances that knock you out as you walk by the plug-in / air freshener aisle at your local Target ...if the end cap of the aisle featured a sun lotion sale. And something sort of floral. These notes blended together? Not so good. So, if you're buying scent-unsniffed, I'd suggest rolling the dice on a different Lampe Berger fragrance if you're after a fresh, clean scent you'll want to have in your environs day-in, day-out. I'll drop a note in this review when I find a LB oil with fresh notes we like, because at this point we're still experimenting to find that unobtrusive and uplifting scent. As for a LB fragrance that worked for us, the Amber Powder scent is sweet, a bit complex, and definitely perfume-like. It works well as a home fragrance, but I don't think it will be our main one in use. These are the only two we've tried thus far. Really happy to have discovered this possibility for home fragrance, though, because this type of fragrance lamp really does make the air feel cleaner and lighter.
