GBL 2" Heavy Duty Caster Wheels with 2 Brakes + Bolts - up to 440Lbs - Set of 4 No Floor Marks Silent Castor for Furniture - Rubbered Trolley or Pallet Swivel Wheels

I was searching for caster wheels for my garden raised beds so that I could easily move them around. I ordered a total of 5 sets of 2 brakes for my 5 raised beds. These caster wheels were shipped in nice strong boxes, are of great deal, very good quality, and they roll around smoothly. I will definitely buy again if needed more.

The castor wheels are holding up well under the weight of our handweights.

Clearly, these casters are a bit sturdier than other 2" stem casters available here on Amazon. The extra thick metal and better bearings in theory make for higher load capacity. However, I found that under heavy load, when installed with the contact area of only the hex at the base of the stem, they are subject to VERY high bending moment. In my application, the cabinet I mounted the casters to was actually BENT by this installation. The issue is the distance from the center line of the stem to the center line of the axle - the "caster" dimension. It's too large. The wheels should be tucked up under the swivel more to reduce this, and also making direction changes MUCH easier. Since I will only be moving my cabinet occasionally, I opted to fix the bending problem rather than switching to another supplier. I straightened the stem holes (a long bolt in the threaded hole and a deadblow hammer), then added 3/4" washers over the hex part of the caster, increasing the installed contact area and, most importantly, moving the point of maximum bending strain out to the perimeter, nearer to the wheel axle. So while these casters are priced competitively with other versions rated at a lesser load, the added cost of the washers made the installed cost more expensive and not quite such a good value

When the original wheels broke on this hamper, instead of tossing it I put these new wheels on. They work so much better than the originals, giving smooth, easy movement. Plus they add an industrial vibe. I’m ordering more for some other projects.

I used the two inch version to replace the broken wheels on my suitcase. Rolls better better then it ever did.

Nice rollers for a end tables that is very heavy.

They are little small for moving a small table saw across a shop floor. The locks work great, just needed a larger size.

La primera impresion es que son ruedas de calidad y MUY resistentes. Tenia puestas en el soporte de pesas unas que venian de serie (como unas de oficina) y se me rompió una. Decidí comprarme estas ya que ponia que cada rueda aguantaba 50kg (total 200kg). Es genial que vengan con dos arandelas porque con una sola no tenia espacio para apretar con la llave, y de esa forma alarga el tamaño de la arandela y entra perfectamente la llave. La primera diferencia que he notado es que segun he puesto todo y lo he ido a mover iba con una suavidad impresionante (las de antes tenia que hacer mucha fuerza para que se movieran). Y luego al ponerle el doble freno (muy bien construido porque las anteriores en fin, un beso o un roce y ya se ponia, en este tienes que apretarlo) se queda anclado al suelo sin necesidad de ponerle 4 como tenia anteriormente (era lo que me echaba para atras de estas ruedas, pero sujetan mas con dos frenos estas que las anteriores con 4). En general por el momento, es un producto que parece top, con solidez en la reconstruccion y que la relación calidad-precio...esta genial. 21€ y te aguantan 200kg, de metal y con unos frenos que van sobrados. 100% recomendable.
