As describe good quality

bought for filtering home infusions and it does the job well, the plastic filter is not the easiest to clean but the funnel works well and fits all but the smallest of my kilner bottles. Bought a cheesecloth as well and prefer it to the plastic filter

I use this set for filtering sloe gin as it is bottled. It works well and is easy to clean.

Good for Sloe Gin lovers and also good for decanting wine!

Warning sharp edges This is a well made item however being a pressed metal design the edges need to be smoothed otherwise they are very sharp. I cut my finger on this, so out came the good old dremmal and i rounded off the edges to make it safe...This maybe a one off be be careful when first using this item.

Does the job

This is a good product overall, but there are one or two things to keep in mind: the diameter of the stem is given as 15 mm but in reality is slightly over 16mm due to the invagination of the side of the stem to prevent airlocks. This makes it too big for the smallest Kilner bottles unless you modify it by deepening the invagination and bringing the actual diameter back to 15mm. Secondly, the 200 mesh was not fine enough to filter out the finest sediment of my apple juice. However, you can buy a set of finer mesh filters that fit this.
