The perfect book for patching pre schoolers
I saw a recommendation for this book on a group for parents of children with Amblyopia and decided to buy two copies, one for home and one for nursery as my son was getting frustrated with all the questions about his patch. It’s a great book for pre schoolers and as you can see from the photo, it’s been really useful for my son so that the other children at nursery who ask about his patch can find out more. After reading the book, they spent the morning designing their own patches.

Brilliant resource - you need one!
I love this book! I don't have a child who patches but I still think it's useful for my daughter to know what others might be going through. She had an opticians appointment yesterday and we read this before we went to open up a discussion about wearing glasses etc just in case! This is definitely a resource that's needed and as someone who also works with children my copy will be getting well used.

Lovely book
We bought this to help encourage our daughter with her patching and she loves it. She likes to have it read to her before her patch goes on and likes to have her butterfly patch, just like Matilda. She took it into preschool this week and it was read to the whole class. They loved the simple description of why their friend wears a patch. Highly recommended!

Presentation bad
The actual story is good but the presentation of the book is terrible. The book isn’t cut to size on any of the pages. Thankfully I’m not using this as a gift as if this was the case I would be returning

Informative and empowering.
Fabulous book for making the process of patching normal and even special! My 3 year old has just started patching and since receiving this book asks to read it first thing in the morning then she's ready to patch! I recommend this book to anyone on this journey or even in a preschool setting to help other children understand.

A brilliant resource! Love it!
This is such a good book and has made a massive difference to my little girls willingness to wear her patch. It’s a really brilliant way to introduce visual impairment to children and helps normalize patching. Her nursery class loved it! All good nurseries should have a copy!

Lovely book
A lovely book for young children patching - we have just started with our 2 year old and this book has helped his 5 year old sister to understand, I love the message “I am still me”. Thank you for helping normalise it
