This little thumb grip has greatly improved the feel of the grip on my Sony a7iii, especially when holding the camera in a vertical orientation. It does however make it slightly harder to access the little wheel just under it—could be an issue if you have big hands. But for me, I feel it’s an acceptable compromise for the benefit of the thumb rest.

I actually really liked how this thumb rest looked and felt on my camera. The only thing is that it rested practically in front of the rear dial on my A7RIII, so as soon as I wanted to make adjustments using that dial it became a nuisance.

This has been a great help to keep my thumb off the exposure compensation dial - I shout manual and adjust the shutter speed a lot, so…. I’m using a Sony a7iii.
