It's nice to clean it all out every once in a while though so the pores don't stretch and become oxidized and brown. I really hate the traditional pore strips though. They just hurt, and leave my nose feeling itchy and sore.This set works differently. One strip softens the hardened sebum, it never dries though. Then you use a little swab to gently press the excess out of the pores and wipe it off. there's even a little extractor tool at the end of the swab that works well. The second pore strip tones the open pores and soothes any irritation. I experienced very little irritation. Most was self inflicted with the extractor. My nose looks smooth and spot free, but doesn't have all the pits left behind by traditional pore strips.I think the only advantage the old pore strips have over these, is that they get the nasal fold better. That's such a hard area to extract. But it's healthy to have *some* sebum there. You just don't want it to get clogged up and black.
