'Philosophy' Makes a Quality Reference Book!
Philosophy by Kevin Perry stimulates the brain! I hadn't opened a Philosophy book since I took the class in College, however, I found myself really captivated by this book. The author, Kevin Perry, offers synopses of famous philosophers (Derrida, Nietzsche, Nagel, Plato...) and their viewpoints on life (God, Death, Time, Free Will, Love, Loss...). They are brief, concise and thorough and I found myself learning aspects I didn't know before and wanting to continue to expand on my new found knowledge. As an added bonus, I really enjoyed finding the trivia side notes. In summary, I found the book Philosophy to be haunting as I caught myself thinking about thinking! This book should be required reading for anyone interested in philosophy. The way Philosophy is set up by topic makes for ease of finding the specific material you are interested in. I can see myself using this as a really quality reference book. I wish I had had this book when I took this class in College. It would have helped me understand the course a whole lot better.Disclaimer - I received this item for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are my own based on personal experience.

I have always been slightly interested in Philosophy and this book will give you a brief description of the main philosophers and their thoughts. I found it to be a very easy read and even found it nice to read right before bed. I found myself having some weird dreams, but I stayed asleep. Not saying that's going to work for you, but I figured it was something worth nothing. At the beginning of each chapter there is a timeline for the philosophers discussed in that chapter. I like having that there because you know what you will be reading further about. This book will cover: Various Famous Philosophers like Immanuel Kant, John Stuart Mill, Friedrich Nietzche, and Hannah Arendt just to name a few.Love, death, life in general.. is all defined by how each of us see it from our own eyes. I recommend this book to anyone interested in Philosophy looking for a new book to read.I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

... everything what is knowledge what is justice what is love what is the meaning of life philosophy is the ...
I received a book named philosophy some may ask what is philosophy philosophy is not a thing it's an activity it is the active pursuit of reflecting in a specific context and analyzing the world in which humans find themselves it is the disposition to question everything what is knowledge what is justice what is love what is the meaning of life philosophy is the education of grown-ups.! This book is about different philosophers and their perspective on what philosophy is some think it is the meaning of life some think it's the meaning of love some think it is the meaning of knowledge.! Have you ever just sat and thought what is life what is love this book will give you an insight as to why the philosophers thought the way they did it also will give you an insight as to what philosophy is and why people study at home it does go into detail about the different philosophers and when they came about.! Philosophy means love of wisdom.! So me and my personal opinion after reading the book I believe philosophy is the art of thinking with questions deeper then what am I going to cook for dinner philosophy brings a lot of emotions out in me not sure why but it it makes me use my deepest part of my brain like when a child ask why is the sky blue.! I think people who have every person has a different perspective on what philosophy is but I do agree with all of these philosophers in this book that it is a deeper feeling deeper thought it made you dig deep down and actually think that's what's wrong with people nowadays they don't think they just one was in a book and that's it I really recommend this book to anyone who likes study philosophy I did receive this book him for free in exchange for my own honest and unbiased review and I hope my review help you out in choosing this book to buy

To Ponder or Believe-
This was a good book, I liked that the author discussed so many different aspects and the history of the philosophers. There are some really interesting points however my beliefs of that of Catholicism so although the info in this book was interesting at times, I did find it to be a little dry and had a hard time getting through it and remaining focused. So my hubby shared the experience and read it too. He enjoyed it more than I did. There is a huge list philosphers and each chapter starts off with different ideas like, Life, Time, Art, God, then pages of the philosophers and what they have said about the idea. Not really my thing, I was looking for either a better flow or something new Maybe My believes are just to strong.*I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.*
