Camco's Adjustable Height Aluminum Platform Step measures 19-inches x 14 ½-inches and provides up to 9-inches of additional height. It is constructed of strong and sturdy aluminum, and supports up to 1,000 lb. The legs fold out quickly and snap firmly into place. With the legs folded out, the height is adjustable from 7 ½-inches to 9-inches for leveling on uneven surfaces. Non-slip rubber feet as well as grip tape provide a safe step. The step's legs fold in for compact storage and easy transport. Storage height is 3-inches. Weighs approximately 8 lb.

A: Step is more than sturdy enough for a heavy person.I weight 200 lb and the step doesn't know I'm on it.It built very well no shacky feeling on level ground at all. Have and elderly Father-in Law who use it to get in my SUV an Wife has Ms and it makes it easier for Her to get in Also.It is very solid.Unless feet are bigger than 12in long with your assistance she should be able to turn on platform.It will hold well over 300 lbs. I used cement bag on shoulder to make sure it would be strong and strudy for my family to use. Hope this helps your decision ..

A: Hi notopinionated,Yes, the legs can be folded under regardless of what position the legs are set at (i.e. fully extended or fully collapsed).

**Q: Is the height 7.5" or 8: height? (adjustable one is as low as 7.5") for my large 10 yr. old dog get in and out of car.**
A: The height at beginning I don't know for sure as the steps are stored in the RV. I do know it is low to the ground either 7.5 or 8". then is adjustable from then on. We have two small dogs that are using it with no problems. I don't know about your dog and the vehicle you are driving but very pleased with the steps.

A: Increments are by 1/2" for a total of about 2" per leg.

I purchased this step stool to help my dog get in and out of my truck. It is very sturdy and provides a solid surface for her to step on before jumping into the truck. It folds pretty flat, maybe about 1.5 inches thick when folded. The legs have four height adjustments to accommodate various needs. Overall, this has worked well for what I needed.
