You have to cut around it or you have no sound input. I found this out the hard way and had to redo four systems. The new strips bond so tight as compared to the OEM that it is extremely difficult to remove once you have applied the screen. For best results apply the strips to the frame leaving the numbered tabs on for the screen side in place so you can fit the screen in place without gluing it down. Use some painters tape to hold in place while you test the fit, the mic, and the camera alignment. One tested lean the screen forward and peel back the protective film all the way around and then push the screen in place.Rating is only because of the microphone issue. Something advertised to fit the model number should have had that taken care of already. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get two so you can mess up once *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on 13 May 2022* This kit is almost everything you need. You can do the work without suction cups to guide the glass, but it's more challenging -- in my case, I ended up with the glass about 0.5 mm off to one side. Too small to notice when you look at it from a distance, but you can catch the edge if you your hand along the glass.2-pack is great because you have a spare adhesive if you make any mistake during the first attempt. Since it was my first time making this repair attempt, I did manage to get the adhesive on somewhat incorrectly and almost needed the second set right away.
