I needed a kitchen thermometer that my partner couldn’t ruin or break. This is perfect. It is an accurate heavy duty thermometer. I use it to measure my water or milk temperature for making bread. It is great. I love the stainless steel, it is very very very well made. I ordered the two pack so that my partner wouldn’t take mine and use outside for the grill or deep frying over the propane fryer. He has his own and I have mine. It is much better than I expected. For a very long time I had been purchasing the glass candy thermometers. And he kept ruining them (5 of them). The glass ones have a paper strip inside. As soon as they get wet with water or oil they are garbage. This one is printed on the steel. Perfect!! If you want a quality piece for your kitchen or outdoor grill area, you can’t go wrong with this one.

I make peanut brittle every year for Christmas and I make between 30 to 40 batches! These thermometers are terrific and I couldn’t do it all without them !

These are large thermometers They are accurate, and I had not difficulty reading them Only downfall that I see- and granted- this is partly my fault for not checking and using a stainless pan- is that they have a sharp metal bottom which unfortunately scratched my teflon finish. So if you are going to be using a coated pan- this might not be for you. It would help greatly to have a protective bottom to prevent this
