Is this softball ball the right choice for my pitcher? Well, generally, most pitchers prefer balls with really large seams to give them more control over the ball. However, when they play in a game that is sanctioned by a specific league they do not get to choose the ball - they must use a ball provided or approved by the league. So I recommend pitchers train with the balls they'll be throwing in the games. The Rawlings C12RYLAH is a great leather ball with good seams and is approved for ASA play! If your pitcher is going to play and an upcoming ASA tournament then this ball is an excellent choice. However, if shes playing USSSA, NSA, USA, Little League, etc.. she'll be throwing balls approved for those leagues. I recommend you make sure you know which league your daughter will be playing in and select a ball that is approved for that league. If your pitcher is on a club/travel team like mine, she likely plays in several tournaments over the year that are sanctioned by several different leagues. So with our team, we make sure the pitchers train with the balls they'll be using in the next upcoming tournament so that they are comfortable with them before the game, rather than trying to make adjustments to new type of ball during the game. Good balls, but they don't seem to be as durable as they used to be. They get spongy after 3 to 5 months, having 2 - 2 hour practices a week, with our travel softball team.

After doing a lot of research, these were the best softballs for my daughter's age. They are what her team uses and the other reviews were right about quality. They are the official size, weight etc... for softball teams in her age/bracket. They really have some good pop off her bat and she feels confident when hitting them. Will buy more again.

Bought during prime days for like 75$ (CAD) plus taxes. Well worth it. Buy lots of balls so you can bat and pitch with your kids and not have to get the balls after a few throws.
