I have been getting into aromatherapy lately and purchased an aroma diffuser. I would like to get into mixing different blends to experience the full benefits of aromatherapy and I am slowly trying out different scents. I love Plant Guru essential oils. So far all that I have tried having a very nice, strong pure scent and seeming not to be diluted at all. They also offer a money back guarantee. So far I have tried; Pink Grapefruit: Fresh, sweet citrus smell. Helps with oily prone skin. Brightens your day and uplifts your spirits. Bergamot: This has got to be my new favorite. It’s a spicy tangy citrus type smell. I have been putting this in my office diffuser and it is a nice lift me up. Frankincense: Woody smell. I use this with my eucalyptus and citrus to make a roll on bug repellant. Bandit (synergy blend) Contains; Lemon, Clove, Eucalyptus, Cinnamon and Rosemary. Smelling this one from the bottle I smelled clove and lemon, my daughter said she smelled cinnamon. I didn’t care for it until I put it in my diffuser, it was a wonderful mix. Patchouli: very different smell, musky fruity smell maybe. I do not care for this one at all. It claims to lessen scars so I will be testing it on a few. Lime: Can anyone say margarita? I love a few drops in my diffuser with my other citrus scents, like lemon and orange. Gives a happy, excited feeling to the room. Smells just like a lime. Clary sage: Mixed with my carrier oil its great rubbed in after your shower before bed. It softens my skin and gives a relaxing feeling. Said to relieve cramps if rubbed on abdomen. Cinnamon bark: Oh my, this smells so good. Much better than my regular cinnamon (leaf) oil. This will be perfect during the holidays. Sweet and spicy, reminds me of those red candies. Ylang Ylang: Delicate, sweet floral scent. I really like this; it reminds me of a tropical island. Blends well with most oils. Great as an aid to fight depression and help with stress, gives you a happy feeling. Sweet Orange: I love the smell of citrus and this is so sweet and juicy smelling. I drop a couple drops in my bottled water and it taste so refreshing. This is one I will be using while making my whipped butter cream for sure. Rosemary: Woodsy, weedy smelling. I did add some to a bowl of vegetarian soup I have made in the past. It gave it a very nice flavor. Claims to help headaches; add a drop in your hands and cup over your mouth and nose (or just hold the bottle under your nose) for up to a minute. I tried this with my daughter tonight and it seemed to work. (She is 13 so all I got was a grunt and “I don’t know” but she started acting less headache) Eucalyptus: Woodsy, medicinal smell. Wonderful for combating the effects of colds and flu as well as keeping insects at bay. Great on sore muscles and joints. Peppermint: I love putting a few drops in my whipped body butters. Great as a foot cream before climbing into bed. Spearmint: Reminds me of chewing gum. A drop or two in your ice tea is delicious or mix with water in a sprayer and use as breath freshener. Clove: This one, mixed with cinnamon smells great in the winter. It gives a warm, cozy feeling. Tea tree: Cannot beat its antifungal properties. I have put on full strength when my son got ringworm while wrestling in high school. Worked great. Lavender: Very strong floral scent of the woody Lavender plant. Blends well with Ylang Ylang, Lemon, geranium and bergamot. Works best in soaps and candles or a few drops in your diffuser at night to aid sweet dreams. Plant Guru’s does not give me a headache like other brands of lavender has. Lemon: I love lemon. Great in my whipped body butter. Gives the kitchen and bathroom a fresh, clean smell when used in a diffuser. Cinnamon: Use alone or mix with clove essential in your diffuser during the winter months. It gives a warm, cozy feeling to your home. Vanilla: Sweet, yummy smell. Makes my house feel peaceful. Probably my families all time favorite scent for the diffuser. The smell of the oil is so fresh and true I believe it’s a good product (I have tried many different oil from this brand and all of them are good). I use the oil to grow hair and lessen hair lost. I have thick hair and am growing it long. I think the amount of hair I lose everyday is normal, but I still want to keep my hair at its best. After drying my hair (not completely but leave it a little damp), I mix a few drops of this grapefruit oil with my favorite hair oil in my hands, then massage my scalp and hair roots. Grapefruit fragrance combines well with the smell of coconut/camellia/avocado/honey hair oil. I haven’t tried other hair oil fragrances, but I think grapefruit goes well with most of them. You can use the mixture for the whole hair, root to tip. It makes your hair smell so clean and fresh. I’ve only started using the oil about a week so I can’t tell the result of preventing hair lost and helping hair grow yet, but the aerotherapy effect and the smooth feeling of my hair are undeniable. PS: I’m sharing with you an experience (I’m not sure if it’s science-proved, but to me it’s true): it’s better to wash and blow dry your hair while your head bending forward instead of backward, especially when you have long hair. Your hair, especially the hair at the front of your head, has been pulled backwards for most time of the day. When you style it in ponytail and with hair tie, it’s pulled even harder. So when washing it, bend your head forward to relax the front hair and to stop yourself and the weight of water from pulling it back even more. Blow drying your hair with your head bending forward also results you with thicker looking hair (remember to comb it, detangle it, and massage it with oil before tossing it back).

This essential oil smells wonderful. It’s seems to be of good quality, and this “pink grapefruit” is my favorite of the citrus oils that I have. Lovely, uplifting smell!

I use this essential oil in my bedside essential oil diffuser. It’s bright, clear, crisp smell helps me start my day. I wouldn’t ask for more! With using 3-5 drops and 1/2 cup distilled water, my bedside diffuser is spa-ready. Try this oil!

I didn’t realize how quickly I would use this up. I added a few drops to my tp holder, a few in the sink, some on cotton balls and the scent was gone in a few hrs and the bottle was too!! The only place the scent lasted is on a cotton ball in my Dyson vacuum. I used it in my mopping liquid too. It’s fun to use and smells amazing but unfortunately the scent dissipates very quickly and the amount is less than I was expecting.
