I rated it here one star and returned it (yay, Amazon Prime!). I got back a personal email from Sam, the owner of Tastywood, apologizing sincerely and explaining the cause of the defect, and that he would not only honor my refund, but ship me a replacement at no cost. That replacement just arrived today and took about 5 minutes to install in my kitchen, and it looks very nice. It's exactly as described and pictured, and the Walnut gives it a really nice, high-quality look that the more common bamboo or metal strips just don't quite have.But mostly I just wanted to thank Sam for being a human being on the other end of an Amazon transaction, and going above and beyond to make me a happy customer. Buy stuff from Sam, folks. Even though this one is also multiple magnets the hold is exceptional from end to end...holding even my heaviest of knives anywhere on the strip. The wood looks fantastic and the dark color is a great match to my cabinets. This is one beautiful addition to my kitchen and something I've been wanting for some time. I didn't want to drill into my tile back splash,so to mount it on the wall I got some "extreme" double sided tape, cleaned both surfaces well and it is holding really, really well. It's been up for almost 2 weeks and it doesn't budge when I take a knife off.
