I was yearning to work outside on my laptop now that the weather is getting warmer and I'm still working remotely. I recently discovered this new, lightweight, portable shade that made the transition outdoors possible and I couldn't be happier with the product. It easily pops open to provide a shade that keeps the laptop cool while eliminating glare like I was never able to accomplish with my patio umbrella. The shade easily opens from its approximate 9" diameter nylon carry bag and just as easily folds back into the bag that has a convenient and secure carry strap. I do recommend watching the brief video clip to learn the knack of easily folding it back up. This shade is a genius idea!

I've been trying to work in my backyard instead of my desk ever since the weather got warmer, but would constantly have to change where I was sitting to get out of the sun or to deal with glare. What was worse was dealing with the laptop getting super hot that it was uncomfortable to use. This shade was a total game changer. I've spent the better part of a week working outside, long enough to have to keep my laptop plugged in (and the tech shade has a convenient slot for the wire). It's large enough for the biggest laptops, and has room for some accessories behind it like headphones, dongles, etc. It also protects from a little light rain that i had to deal with, and because the laptop is strapped in, I could easily bring everything inside without it getting wet. Makes working remotely just a little more convenient.

Helpful in working outdoors. Nothing is perfect. It all depends on which direction it's facing, whether sun is reflecting off white walls, etc etc. I like that this thing goes flat for storage. it's pretty bulky when in use. but there is space in there for AC adaptor, I even fit a chillmat in there under my 15 in laptop. You need a big work surface to accommodate this thing.

I do mobile DJ work so I needed something to protect my laptop from the sun. An overhead tent works great until 5 or 6 o’clock when the sun is not directly overhead. Fits my 13” MacBook just fine. I also have a laptop cooler that I put inside with it to help with cooling and prevent the fabric bottom from being sucked up. Easy to deploy and fold up. Side openings for my cables and charging cord. Unreal that this costs $60. Should be closer to $30 when you can get a beach tent that fits people for that price.

My building's terrace is usually packed with people, and this product lets me work outside while keeping my work private. It also is usually pretty sunny and this product worked great for emliminating screen glare and protecting my laptop from getting overheated by the sun. My laptop has the air openings for cooling on the bottom, so I was skeptical at first if the bottom material would effect the cooling performance, but it worked perfectly fine even after hours of use outside. My wife thinks the product could be a little smaller, but it was exactly the size as advertised and the size is actually very comfortable while using it; plus it folds up to be nice and compact for storage and travel. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy using their laptop outside.

I use this product for Astrophotography. The privacy cover blocks light emitted from my laptop which can impact my imaging session and those around me. It's light and easy to setup, can be put away easily in the dark, and it takes up very little space in my bag. The best feature, it acts as a perfect dew protector for late night imaging sessions and has saved my equipment from getting soaked from dew. The water collects on top of the cover and can easily be dried off the next day. Great product.

This laptop shade has worked perfectly for me so far. Great value, durable materials, and it is so light weight and compact that I don’t notice any difference when carrying it in my work bag. I hope they come out with more color options so I can buy more to match my styles :). Because the outside color is black, it can start to feel a little warm on the outside after sitting in the sun for a while, but it doesn’t get too hot and hasn’t been a problem for me even after hours of continuous use throughout my work days. I think because the material is thin, it dissipates the heat very quickly. Also, this totally eliminated screen glare and the roomy inside provides a very comfortable working space and room to type; also allows for natural airflow around the laptop which is great. Overall, I would highly recommend this product!

My office requires that I work from home, so I bought this shade in hopes I could work on my balcony with my laptop. It would be a nice change of scenery and allow me to get some fresh air while still working. Unfortunately, you cant use this one outside. I was sitting on my lounger outside with it on my lap and my laptop inside it. Because it is black it causes the inside of the shade to get extremely hot and also my computer! After about 10 minutes I heard the fan in my computer buzzing and I felt the bottom of my laptop - it was SO HOT. The material on this product is really thin (think: flag material) that having this sitting on my lap made my legs extremely hot too. There is barely anything between the very hot bottom of computer and my legs. I set it beside me and my thighs were on fire. :-/ I had high hopes for this one, but it’s the fact that its black and such flimsy thin material that it won’t work outside. Maybe use in the winter? But who is sitting outside then? I’m returning it and don’t recommend. Needs to be a better insulated material and lighter color for it to work for using computer outside. SO bummed i cannot return !!!

I bought this for my son who works from home, in the nice weather he works on his deck. He uses this every day, and loves it! It cuts down on the glare, keeps the laptop cool and the portability is great, can be used anywhere!

Es un poco más grande de lo que aparenta, la usé durante una fuerte lluvia y mantuvo seco el interior pese a que dice que no es contra agua, aún así hay que tomar precauciones. Fácil de transportar y a un precio accesibles considerando otras marcas.

It keeps the computer from getting too warm in the sun and I am finally able to work under direct sunlight. Only thing is that it’s a bit bulky and if you don’t close it up everytime it takes up space.

It works ok, way too expensive and more importantly- really not sure why they made it a dark colour
