This is a nice, readable book but not in my view, a design handbook. I was expecting a variety of floor plans and elevations that I could adapt for my new build, but there are none. It does cover well a range of important considerations for building stables such as flooring and ventilation but wanders off into other topics which are less useful.

This book told me what I wanted to know and more in some cases about the building of such or what to check for, so very informative.However I know the title is "stables and equestrian buildings", but I do feel that the section about muck disposal could be longer and be written in greater depth especially with regard to manure composting if one has only one or two horses. Maybe this will be available in the next edition.
