something that Every comic book collector should own
Overstreets guide to comic books and their values is a must own for every collector.although the actual dealers usually charge more than the listed values it still gives you a good idea.I also love the information about the comic's provided in the listings. artists ,writers ;first appearances ect.I use it to zero down on the comics I want to own and order.I highly recommend it to everyone interested in comic book collecting.

Concur with Black Swan
This book is a very nice to have to orient oneself within the cosmos of grading, dealing, culture, and especially even knowing what has been published before, during, and after you were born. But nowhere from a flea market to ebay will you find, for example, a Thor 165 8.0 for $465. The pricing is off by a multiplier of 2 or 3x across the board, and the cartoon introduction, if you take time to read it, disclaims that this is literally but a guide based on informed opinion and nostalgia. Also prices are quoted for raw books only; for CGC (i.e. professionally graded and encased in a plastic sarcophagus) prices one must refer to a handful of websites that have commodified market data from tracking CGC internet sales. So after months seeking to fill that void in my box between Thor 164 and 166, and attempting to identify a reasonable price to make the pain go away, in the end i was happy to find a Thor 165 4.5 CGC for $360 (Overstreet raw ~$125, GoCollect CGC $280, ebay--fuggedaboutit). Overall for myself the Overstreet Guide is a sort of comfort blankey i may cling to while attempting to navigate the electron storm of internet comics pricing, and especially when a desired issue is considered a "key" and the price has run away completely by the time i meandered upon it.

A MUST HAVE FOR COMIC BOOK READERS AND COLLECTORS
Jammed pack with interesting comic book stories, color photos, comic book fans and writer's editorials, the value of just about every comic book, and a lot more! There are more than 1,000 pages so to squeeze in all of the information fonts are small. Having a magnifying glass comes in handy.
