These are the only socks I now purchase. I have a drawer-full of light gray and these brown ones. There is extra padding at the heels and toes, which helps with comfort and durability; they also absorb perspiration well. They may be more appropriate for cooler weather, because they do tend to keep your feet warm, but I wear them every day regardless. It's nice they are available in XXL; in the morning, when the "T. rex syndrome" really manifests itself, having socks that slip on easily is much appreciated by this 81-year-old.

I bought these socks after reading about them for years, but then after trying them for only a few days found that their reputation didn't exactly match up. I wouldn't buy these again. Like you know...EVER. They really don't have the cushion that they claim in any way. The're a waste in every measure. If you're looking for a good full cushion pair of socks then keep looking. They're not the socks you're looking for. What a waste!!

I've been a loyal Thorlos customer for almost 20 years now. I wear them with my black uniform boots (public safety/first responder) in summer and winter. They have a super soft heavy pad on the bottom and breathable material that keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Great with my hiking boots too! My feet feel so much better after a long shift than anything else I've tried. My wife caught on and has been wearing them a work as she's on her feet all day as a teacher. My daughters have "borrowed" our socks quite often too. We'll be Thorlos customer forever.

I've been wearing these socks for 30 years, they are amazing!

The material is scratchy too.
